The book is part of a larger project focused on the people and landscape of rural southwestern Iowa. Jeff Nilan received his MFA from Indiana University. Growing up in Nebraska, his art draws influence from the landscape and culture of the Midwest. Jeff is interested in the ways that art reflects and shapes the mythology of a region. His handmade books focus on the people, landscape, and structures of rural southwestern Iowa. Jeff currently resides in Delaware, Ohio and is Associate Professor of Art at Ohio Wesleyan University. |
