edition size: 45

Letterpress printed from polymer plates, bound by hand.

Originally published in 1975, this is a reprint of a poem that has gained an important status in the world of gay poetry both because the author is one of the last of the Black Mountain writers and because the poem speaks to current gay issues

Rutherford Witthus has worked with books for most of his life, starting in high school as a page in the Denver Public Library, where he was introduced to the world of rare books and fine editions by curator Harry Mooney. He has degrees in Philosophy and Librarianship and, as a retirement gift to himself, he earned an MFA in Book Arts & Printmaking at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He lives and has his studio in Walpole, New Hampshire.
