Sharon McCartney Art history, travel, and encounters with the natural world inform and inspire Sharon’s mixed media art - unique artist books, fiber & painting with a layered collage approach. Fascinated by objects with auras of history and stories to tell, she collects vintage textiles and ephemera, and lines her shelves with nests, feathers, stones, seedpods, and other gifts from nature, most of which find their way into her work. Her “Studio in the Woods” is in western Massachusetts.
