Yurei is a character in Japanese folklore which is similar to ghosts. Katsushika Hokusai painted a series of well-known ghost stories characters that I have recreated to capture their essence through the book form. Using cotton cord to suggest her long hair, I present a visual image of the story though a book’s physical form and structure.
