This small box contains a mysterious specimen. Clues to its meaning can be found on the specimen notes and map which document its origin. When the knob at the base of the box is pulled the wings spread open to reveal a hidden passenger. The label, map, and various “body parts” of the beetle were printed on a letterpress and then individually hand painted with watercolor and oil sticks.
