Eligibility and Media This exhibition is open to any artist 18 years of age or older. If you live outside the United States, please contact gallery for additional submission guidelines. Eligible are any hand-crafted book works that present a balance of word and image presented in a book or book-like form. Of particular interest are works in which the content conceptually and functionally supports the object’s structure. Before submitting, please note that works that are larger than 14 inches in any dimension when closed are challenging to display in this venue and may not be accepted on the basis of size along. Wall hung works are ineligible.
Please send gallery quality images without background clutter or text. DO NOT send composite images or images with embedded text. If your work is accepted for exhibition, the images you enter with as well as the text you provide will be used for print & digital publicity. Images not up to gallery quality will either be excluded from publicity, or re-photographed at artists expense (pending artist approval).
Awards DPL will be purchasing work from this exhibition for addition to the Douglas Collection of Fine Printing. Other purchase awards are in the works as well. Sales Abecedarian retains a 40% commission on works sold by Abecedarian during and following the exhibit. Catalogs Shipping Conditions Agreement The artist agrees that images of selected artwork and the submitted text can be used by Abecedarian Artists’ Books and exhibition venues for promotions and publications. |
