Cheryl Bailey aka Miss Claire Pimm

Denver, Colorado

Miss Claire Pimm wears her hair in a black Louise Brooks bob to go with a pair of round black glasses and red lipstick. She sees herself as an icon, like Louise Brooks, and inserts herself into every situation she can by drawing her bob, eyeglasses and lips onto found images with a black and red sharpie pens; she is an equalizer of the peoples of the world. Unbiased in her choice of who she is at any given moment, Miss Pimm can be seen in large crowds, on a royal throne, or receiving an Oscar for a job well done. Miss Claire Pimm is thus everyone and everywhere. Cheryl Bailey is a Denver area artist who developed the Miss Claire Pimm series while touring extensively in Europe. She has an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA in Art from Metro State College in Denver. Her work is in public and private collections throughout the country.
