This two-volume book edition was inspired by the history of my dysfunctional relationship with my father. I was abandoned by him at such a young age that when I came in contact with him again, later in life, that moment served as the first time I met him. Since then, our relationship has less than flourished and these books are a response to how disregarded I feel. In this piece, I am expressing my desire to be noticed by my father and the consequences of being vulnerable and forsaken.
Pulp painting on paper handmade from cotton linters, screenprints, inkjet prints, and letterpress printed text and imagery. The first volume is a t-cut accordion and the second is a drumleaf.
