I am interested in time and traces that we leave behind. I was using long pieces of paper left out from my son’s origami projects to explore surfaces that are worn down and used by many repetitive actions. I fell in love with the layers of colors and details that came forth and decided to assemble them together. This created a book that engages the viewer in a playful yet meditative process. The secret Belgian binding designed by Carmencho Arregui is a perfect sturdy and flexible structure for this book that acts as a daily companion and a reminder of the passing of time.
