“Body Map is part of a series of books about the effects of our environment on our collective health. Body mapping is a technique used by art therapists: this book details physical changes / assaults (some minor, some more serious) on my own body overlying a full-frontal photo. In the margins around my body is related text. This documents how various chemicals in the environment can affect humans. For example, in the area around my right arm, where I’ve written about painting apartments in exchange for rent, is information about the toxins in house paint.”
