Danielle Feliciano St. Louis Park, Minnesota Luminous watercolor, ink, gold ink 41/2 x41/2 x 1 closed, 41/2 x 36 open edition of 9 © 2011 - $100 Luminous was created in the winter of 2010. It was designed and bound by Danielle Feliciano of Panthera Press. The illustrations were done in ink, graphite, watercolor, and gouache on Arches hotpress. It was designed to illustrate the heritage of decorative letterforms and the ways the many modern forms relate to the antiquated. The book flows from simple, sleek letterforms into more complex and ornate styles. These hand drawn letter-forms make reference to historic styles like engravers script and employ celtic design elements. Still, the varied forms are all uniquely filtered through the aesthetic of the artist herself. Digitally printed accordion-style book, all illustrations by Danielle Feliciano.
