One shouldn’t always take oneself too seriously ... I have enjoyed the approach of mixing lightheartedness with kookiness with self-reflection.

After a career in business in the Netherlands and England, Merike van Zanten got her BA (Hons) in Ceramics from the University of the Creative Arts, Rochester, England. She came to the USA in 2002 and began working in the book arts. Her main areas of interest are Letterpress printing and Artists’ Books.
