I find the landscape in Colorado becoming commercialized in the mountain/prairie small towns. Loss of small ranches have been disappearing and the cowboy rancher along with them. The book expresses small town family ranching and how it is disappearing. I used images of a cowboy and his family to express the work and the culture of ranchers.

Denver artist Nancy Eastman works both as an artist and as a landscape architect. Her work takes her all over Colorado. These travels inspire her work in the book arts.
