This is a handwritten journal I kept in a leather bound sketchbook during an artist residency in Hawaii. I illustrated the journal with digital photos that I printed on the spot and with drawings.

Barbara Milman is a San Francisco Bay Area book artist and printmaker. She has had over 25 solo exhibitions and been in over 300 group shows. Barbara Milman’s handmade artist books can be found many university libraries and museums. Her work has won awards and appeared in numerous publications.
